Orange County EMT Accreditation
(EMT Ambulance Driver/Attendant License Course)

EMTs who are seeking employment as an EMT in Orange County must successfully complete an OCEMS approved EMT Expanded Scope Accreditation course based on the OCEMS Policy 315.00

Price: $90.00

This course is approximately 4 hours and includes:

  • OCEMS Expanded Scope of Practice

  • Orange County EMS System

  • Orange County EMS Policies Regarding Patient Care and Transport

  • Endotracheal Tube and Tracheostomy Tube Suctioning

  • Glucometer Use

  • MDI Assistance

  • Auto-Injector

  • 12-Lead EKG Placement

  • IV Set-Up and Monitoring

  • Tourniquet Use

  • Naloxone

  • Skills Assessment and Post-test

*Must pass post-test with a score of 80% or better

Course prerequisites

Students must bring to class:

  • current EMT card

  • current CA Driver’s license

  • current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) provider card.

This course meets the California State requirements for 4 hours of CEUs. NPSC is a State of California approved EMS continuing education provider. (OCEMS #30-0096).

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be made no less than 48 hours in advance and student may sign up for another course. Courses rescheduled by NPSC may either be refunded or deferred to another time slot.
