Heartsaver CPR/AED

This course may be used as a stand-alone course for first-time students or as an add-on to the Heartsaver First Aid course. This program can be offered jointly with other AHA courses to meet the specific needs of your work site.

The course covers:

• How to recognize and offer assistance to an adult or child who needs CPR
• Hands on use of an AED trainer when used on an adult or child
• Adult & Child CPR when using a mask
• How to give CPR to an infant
• Assisting Adults, Children & Infants when choking occurs

Intended Audience:

For those individuals  who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job or regulatory requirements, rescuers who may need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, volunteers with community or church organizations, family members, coaches, Sunday School teachers, etc.

Course Length:

Approximately 3 1/2  hours

Students  must successfully complete the  CPR AED skills tests in order to qualify for the Heartsaver CPR AED American Heart Association card.
