Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED Provider Course

This course is specially designed to train those responsible for children’s health in meeting state-specific requirements.

Backed by comprehensive state-by-state research, it meets the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for child-care workers in all 50 states.

The course covers:

  • Pediatric First Aid
  • Asthma Care and Inhalers
  • Car safety
  • Reducing risk for SIDS
  • How to prevent indoor/outdoor injuries
  • When to suspect child abuse
  • Adult/Child CPR with mask
  • Adult/Child AED

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course is intended for:

  • child-care and foster-care workers
  • parents and grandparents
  • nannies and babysitters
  • camp counselors
  • teachers and other educators
  • anyone else with responsibility to care for children

Course length can range from 7 – 8 hours, depending on needs and the modules taught, with skills practice (first aid) and skills testing (CPR & AED) by an American Heart Association instructor during the course.
